National Seminar on Personality Development And value Based Education
(Feb. 20-21, 2010)
National Seminar on Personality Development and Value Based Education was held on Feb. 20-21, 2010. The sub themes for the seminar were Moral values, Social Values, Cultural values, Self Confidence, Mental Attitude, Enthusiasm & Positive Mindset, Time Management & Communication. The Chief Guest for the Inaugural Ceremony was Honorable State Education Minister, Mr. Mangilal Garasia & the Guest of honour was Mayor, JMC Jaipur, Ms. Jyoti Khandelwal. The speakers for the various sessions during the seminar were Prof. Rita Arora, Dean- Faculty of Education, University of Rajasthan, Prof. Kamla Vashistha, Director, School of Education, Jaipur National University, Jaipur, Dr. Sanjay Biyani, Director, Biyani Group of Colleges, Jaipur, Prof. Ramesh Arora, Retd. Prof. Public Administration University of Rajasthan, Jaipur, Prof. J.L. Bansal, Retd. Prof. Department of Maths, University of Rajasthan, Jaipur, Prof. Satish Batra, Principal, Bhawan's College of Communication & Management, Jaipur, Dr. Anil Mehta, Associate Prof. Deptt. of Business Administration, University of Rajasthan, Jaipur, Dr. Ranveer Singh, Director, Suzlon Multinational Company, Jodhpur.
The seminar was attended by more than 300 students from across the country including Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Delhi, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan and from various universities like—Jyoti Rao Phule University, J.N.U., Suresh Gyan Vihar University, Jodhpur University, Mohan Lal Sukhadia University & University of Rajathan.
The Chief Guest for the Valedictory Ceremony was Honourable Justice G.L. Gupta, Lokayukta, Jaipur & Guest of honour was Prof. Kalanath Shastri, President, Adhunik Bhartiya Sansthan. Dr. Kusumlata, Principal-B.Ed. remarked that the seminar aimed at developing values among the youth of today as well as to groom their personality that will lead India to achieve greater heights.
SUPW Camp was organized from 2-3 March, 09 by the B.Ed. & BSTC
students. The students exhibited their creative skills by making items
of handicrafts such as Paper-mâché, wall hangings, decorative pots,
paintings etc. On the closing ceremony, a cultural programme was
presented by the students. Smt. Pushpa Biyani was the chief guest for
the occasion and she congratulated the students for doing a good show.
SUNEHRE PAL' an Annual Function and farewell party was organized
by B.Ed. College on 3 July, 2009. It was a memorable occasion for the
senior students when their juniors shared heart touching experiences
from their lives. They also performed dance and played games related
to the occasion. INDEPENDENCE DAY was celebrated on 15 Aug., 2009. Shri Ram Das
Agarwal, MP along with the Chairman and the Director of the
institute hoisted the flag on this patriotic day. The students presented
captivating cultural programme to exhibit their love for the nation.
AN ORIENTATION PROGRAMME FOR M.Ed., B.Ed. & BSTC STUDENTS was held from 1-8 Sep., 2009. Eminent speakers such as Prof. Ramesh
Arora, Prof. Rita Arora and Dr. Kaushal were invited to give valuable
lectures on positive personality, life skills and memory enhancement
respectively. Dr. Kusumlata (Principal, Education) gave information
about the academic activities & schedule to the fresher students.
Faculty members introduced themselves to the students. Various
activities like dance, games and exhibition were organized in this 8
days workshop. Prof. Pawan Surana was the chief guest for the closing
ceremony.
To pay a warm tribute to Dr. S. Radhakrishnan, students organized
TEACHER'S DAY celebration on 5 Sep., 2009. The students showed
their respect and gratitude to their teachers by presenting small gifts
as a token of love & affection. Anktakshari was the main attraction of
the day.
To spread the message of 'literacy', NATIONAL EDUCATION DAY was
celebrated on 11 Nov., 2009 in the college. An essay competition was
organized in which students participated with great zeal and
enthusiasm. Students were given prizes for their best performance in
the competition.
A five days workshop on "HOW TO WIN FRIENDS & INFLUENCE
PEOPLE" by Dale Carnegie was organized during November and
December 09 for all the faculty members and the students of Biyani
Group of Colleges. The workshop involved interactive sessions
regarding principles contained in the book, certification testing and
self evaluation exercise. It is heartening to note that both amongst
faculty members and students, the majority has secured either A+or
A/B Grade during the certification Testing.
REPUBLIC DAY was celebrated on 26 Jan., 2010. Singer Rehman Ali
(Music Ka Maha Muquabla Fame) was the chief guest of the
occasion. He hoisted the flag with the Chairman and the Director of
the institute. A patriotic cultural programme was presented by the
students.
BASANT PANCHAMI was celebrated on 28 Jan, 2010 to offer prayers
to the Goddess of education – Maa Saraswati. The celebration
started with Saraswati Vandana and sweets distribution. The
complete college was dipped in beautiful yellow colour depicting the
pious feeling towards this auspicious occasion.
RAJASTHAN DAY was celebrated on 30 March, 10 by the Education
Department of the college. Power Point competition was organized on
this occasion. The students of M.Ed., B.Ed. & BSTC presented vivid
slides portraying diverse aspects of the state of Rajasthan. The themes
of the presentations included festivals, culture, women history, rich
heritage etc. The winners were given attractive prizes.
